Manali

Manali located at altitude of 1,950 m, 6,398 ft in the Beas River valley. is an important hill station in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley. It is located about 250 km (155 miles) north of state capital, Shimla. It is in the northernmost part of the Kullu valley. Manali is a tourist spot that is about 40 km from Kullu. It is located very close to Leh NH. Kullu Manali the impressive landscape that attracts visitors.

According to legend, the valley was home to nomadic hunters, known popularly as 'Rakshas'. The second was shepherds coming from the Kangra valley, these shepherds began farming here. The apple and the trout here are the contribution of British rule.
